Alicia Gibson obtained her Real Estate license In July 1999 and took it on full time in 2004. She loves being in real estate because no transaction is ever the same. Alicia says “You are always meeting new people, seeing different houses, with past clients situations change. Real Estate is challenging, from finding the house that “fits” to getting to the closing table. You also can pretty much schedule everything to accommodate your time.” Over the years she has obtained a Certificate Of Achievement For Real Estate Professional Assistant in 2005, Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) Designation in 2007, and in 2015 she received her Broker’s License.
One of the stories she recalls is when a family she was working with had an autistic son and he came when they had their first appointment to view. The next time he saw her he burst into a big smile and said “HOUSE”. From then on that’s what he would say whenever he saw Alicia. They had a home under contract but it fell apart during the home inspection. We kept looking and finally found “the house”. The family is so happy and still keeps in contact with Alicia. This past weekend was Alicia’s birthday and received a greeting from the family saying “Happy birthday to a very special lady today. She willingly took my family under her wing and lead us into the home we are slowly but surely making ours. Alicia thank you so very much for all you are to us. With love, Happy Birthday.”

Next to God, my family is most important to me. We attend church at Oak Hill Baptist. My wife, Rebekah Betsill Twilley, along with my daughter Peyton and I live in Griffin with our dog, Champ. Our family enjoys camping, swimming, and being outdoors. I also enjoy serving others. My favorite group of people to work with is our senior population. Not the high school students, the older wiser seniors you find at the Senior Center have the best stories.
I enjoy being a Realtor because everyone has a story, and each one fascinates me. It’s the people I meet, that I would otherwise not have known, and the life stories they share with me that I love. I also like to meet new people, seeing new properties, new obstacles to conquer. No two days are ever the same.
