The Services I Offer

Since beginning in Real Estate, I have earned two more “designations”, or qualifications.  The first one is the Accredited Buyer Representative designation (ABR).  I attended classes and was tested on information relating directly to the Buyer in the Real Estate transaction.  While every agent can represent the buyer in any transaction, an ABR can use their specialized knowledge and training to benefit the buyer.  The second designation I earned is the Electronic Real Estate Professional designation (ePRO).  Through training in the classroom and online, an ePRO is comfortable with all aspects of online real estate.  From online search engines (Google, Trulia, Realtor.com), social media (Facebook, etc.), and BLOGS, an ePRO is comfortable working in any electronic medium.  Texting, email, blogging, iPad, tablets, internet, pictures, videos and movies- this is the realm of the ePro.  The third designation I have is REALTOR©.  I also joined the National Association of REALTORS© (NAR) and subscribe to the National Code of Ethics.  Be sure, whoever you use for your Real Estate needs, they are a member of the NAR and subscribe to the Code of Ethics.  More designations behind the name of your agent means they are interested in furthering their knowledge and experience to make your transaction seamless and easy for you.

About Me…

I am a full time Real Estate Agent and live on Shackleford Rd. in the north east section of Pike County.  My wife, BJ, and I have lived here since 1996.  BJ grew up in Griffin and graduated from Griffin High School before being hired by Delta Airlines.  We have three children, Kyle, 31- a High School Math Teacher in Atlanta, Kirsten, 32- a teacher living in Grenada, West Indies, and Elizabeth 22- a recent graduate from the University of Florida.  Prior to living in Pike County, I lived nineteen years in Marietta, GA.  Before that, I was in Jacksonville, FL, Corvallis, OR, Hampton, VA, and Anchorage, Alaska (which is my hometown).    BJ and I chose Pike County for its beauty and people and think it is the perfect place to rear children.  Since moving here, we have joined in to help with whatever projects we could to “do our part” in the community.  BJ is a past member of the Pike County Garden Club and is a Master Gardener (State of Georgia).  Since retiring from Delta Airlines, I’ve become more involved in the county.  I am a past member and past Chairman of the Pike County Planning Commission and current member and past Chairman of the Pike County Industrial Development Authority.  I am a member of the Southern Rivers Member Advisory Board and the State Bar of Georgia President’s Advisory Committee.  I am a member of Kiwanis Pike.  We are members of Rock Springs Church where I sing in the “off-key” Bass section of the choir.  I am an avid bird hunter and raise and train Brittany bird dogs at my farm in Pike County.  One of my dogs, Julia’s Bocephus, (Bo), is the 2001 Quail Unlimited National Champion.

My business philosophy is very simple.  I will make your goal, my goal- your concern, my concern.  You will get my best – every day.

About Me…

I’ve been married to Dan for 26 years.  We have three wonderful children.  Ashley is 26 and is in the banking industry.  She just graduated from UGA with a degree in Business and just recently had a little girl named Emmaleigh.  Taylor is 20 and in college and pursuing a career in education and works at a daycare, and Adam is 16 and in tenth grade.  Yeah, I know, they’re pretty spread out but it has worked out well that way.  I’m very proud of my family.  In my spare time I like to dabble with the computer.  When you are as old as I am, the techie stuff doesn’t come to you as quick as it does, for example, my kids……..Seems like my family is always gathered around the The Nichols’ Internet Cafe.  I also like to spend time with family and I just have to tell you that I have become a GiGi this year.  You ask what is a GiGi?  Well, don’t tell anyone but it means shhhh (grandma).  I’m just vain enough to think that makes me not old enough to be that g-ma word.  She is my heart that’s for sure.  She is now 4 months old and I love love love that little girl.

Family is what Pike County is all about.  Small town with great schools.  Come check us out!  I can supply you information about the schools as well if you’re interested.

Please just remember to “Call Cathy”  770-584-2716.  I wish you good hunting.
